My iBook would have been three years old this spring. My keeper of photos and music, writing and other snippets of the past.

But computers are computers and they don’t last forever. Now that mine is good only for looking at a flashing, hypnotic screen, I’m reading and cleaning more. Happy to still have a little music going, by hooking up my MP3 player to some speakers I inherited from another volunteer.

Maybe I’ll finally hook up my television. Or, better yet, perhaps I’ll start some other random hobby that I haven’t yet discovered.

Thankfully I backed up all of my photos from the past two years on an external drive. May this be a reminder to you to do the same thing!
