‘B’ in Albania
Published by Katie July 4th, 2007 in Albania‘B’ stands for Becky and Becky just spent 10 days with me here in Albania. We had an amazing trip and I felt that I must get started on sharing our photos when I’m still fresh with memories and details. But for now I just have a few, some highlights from our time in Berat and the very beginning of our trip to the Ionian Coast.
Enjoy and please stay posted for much more on this recent Silus Sister excursion.
’Ladies Night’ group - B, Irene and Katie. Irene took us on a lovely tour of the castle and a Canadian friend took our photo in front of Mount Tomori. B and Irene are definitely two peas in a pod.
Amazing byrek (handmade by Fitore), a lot of laughs and interesting conversations - the norm for a dinner at Fitore’s house. Becky loved her and our trip’s motto ‘It’s a new experience’ stems directly from this strong, forward thinking woman.
B with the Kaceli ladies, Anila and Esti. They have been so amazing to every single visitor that I’ve brought into their house (Becky was number 7!). Their hospitality is unforgetable and I only wish that every foreigner who comes to Albania could spend an afternoon in their home, eating lunch with Zaku, Julia, Anila and Esti.
Looking out over Berat from the Hoxha’s balcony. We had a spectacular view accompanied by delcious food (Mira, you never cease to amaze me) and some of the best company around. We stayed until 12:30 that night talking and laughing with Sali, Mira and Ersa.
Loving the sun and the seaside - we have some excellent photos of the small little village we stayed in for two days.
B - I miss you already and you only left a few hours ago. Thank you for visiting and I can’t wait to get you back here as soon as possible. Love you!
