Spring travels - two weeks throughout the Netherlands and Denmark
Published by Katie June 3rd, 2007 in AlbaniaPlenty of photos to check out if you simply click on the photos to the right (top) and head to my Flickr account. I’ve uploaded so many over the past days that I can’t include them in this post!

Ben and I have had such a great time over the past week - and we still have a week to go.
We started out in Amsterdam, where we stayed at a wonderful B&B called ‘The Collector,’ explored the city, visited the Van Gogh museum and Rijksmuseum, saw the very beginnings of Heineken beer, cruised through the canals and steered clear of the thousands of bicylers.

Again, check out my ‘Amsterdam’ folder on Flickr for more.
After three days in Amsterdam, we boarded a plane for Copenhagen, another new city for both Ben and me. With some beautiful waterfront and huge parks and plazas filled with Danes at their favorite cafes drinking beer, Copenhagen was a fresh, beautiful city to visit.
Parks, parks and more parks in Copenhagen:

Photographic stops:

Bikes, bikes, bikes:

Plazas:

Waterways and waterfronts, including Nyhavn, with its docked sailboats and canal cafes. Ate some amazing smoked salmon at a cafe here:

Travel moments - Ben with the map and me photographing horse statues; Ben testing the waters:

Copenhagen’s beer, Carlsberg:

Christianshaven, across the river from the center of Copenhagen. Not much of a difference, besides young Danish girls dressed in garbage bags. Otherwise more canals and boats:
