Experience Albania: Travel, Pictures, History, Culture

 If I made a ‘Top Five’ list about my favorite things about living and working in Albania as a Peace Corps volunteer, these women would definitely be on it.  I call them my ’English Club’ regulars - women who attended my English Club this summer and have stayed interested and active in meeting up and studying English together.  As engineers (Vali), environmental specialists (Mirela), teachers (Anila), and accountants (Nina and Sophi), they are a solid group of Albanian women who really have it together. 

They make my job so easy - I help them with their English speaking skills and great friendships develop from being their teacher.

We are now meeting twice a week at my house.  Tea, candy, and cake make it a little more enjoyable (before we made the location change to my house we were meeting in a small office) and even the power going out doesn’t stop our fun.  Candles do just the trick.
