Brunch in Innsbruck
Published by Katie December 30th, 2006 in AlbaniaOur time in Austria, before and after Christmas, gave us a chance to see and stay with the Umlaufs and also meet some of their friends and extended family. Their oldest daughter just married in September and her husband, Lucas, is both excellent and has an excellent family.

Great for Mike and Lauren and I to see and meet different people and visit them in their homes. Again, the best way to travel.
Here is a look at the family and friends (and us foreigners!) at the party.

And so we had an amazing brunch at Lucas’ parent’s house in Innsbruck, which is about an hour and a half drive west from Kitzbuhel. Innsbruck is a beautiful town that has been home to the Olympics, set at the foot of huge, stunning moutains.
Around the party:

Lauren, Mike, Katie, Isabel, and Niki above.

Is that Mike speaking German?! He’s a quick learner … talking ‘boats’ with Lucas’ father! Bring on the pontoons to Austria (Mike works for a boat company in Minnesota).

Austrian childrean are amazing! This little guy and his older brother stole the show.
