Merry Christmas! From Lauren, Mike, and me …

We’re having such a great time here in Kitzbuhel with our family friends, the Umlaufs. The last few days have been busy with the best of things … One of the highlights:

Skiing

Getting dressed was half the fun! The Umlaufs are better than a sports outfitter, as their gear is proven to work and perform well. It only helps that all five members of the familz are seasoned skiers.

Beautiful views of the Alps … the snow wasn’t the greatest, as it’s been unseasonably warm and little snow has fallen. But we made a great group: with Isabel as our ski guide and three Minnesotans used to skiing on small hills, it was an awesome day.

The map of the Kitzbuhel ski moutains. With over three-hundred runs (not all were open due to such a lack of snow), it’s a huge place where you wouldn’t have to ski the same run twice.

Happy, happy Mike! He’s been on cloud 9 since we arrive in Kitzbuhel three days ago. To be skiing on Christmas even (Mike also went skiing today, on Christmas) was spectacular.
