Ah - German breads … and so much more that will suddenly appear before eyes throughout the next 15 days! I can’t wait to arrive in the heart of Bavarian Germany - a great place to start my Christmas/New Year’s travels. Little do Mike and Lauren know that I have tomatoe byrek (thanks to Ersa) and the most amazing fig jam dessert role (again, Ersa!) packed in my bags for them, ready and waiting to compete with German cuisine. We’ll see what wins … since I’ve already sampled both dishes, I’ll personally be grabbing for the amazing Munich prezels and save eating byrek for the year and a half that I have left in Albania.

All this talk about being overseas is making me homesick. My wish is to have a semester, or even a full year in Germany. Right now, I am working on bringing up my GPA. I had a very rough first semester of college, and I am pulling it up, so that I am eligible for an exchange student program. I hope it will be a place close to where my family lives in Germany. That way, I can visit with them often, and I can have them help me with my German as well. I don’t know, six years of German is a lot, but most of it was learning nouns, like tuxedo, and mushrooms. lol. Well, I wanted to let you know that I am applying this year to become a team leader like you were. I think I would make an awesome one too. My sister is in the program now, and she gets homesick easily, so it would help her out too. Well, I just wanted to say hi, and if I don’t get the chance to later, Frohliche Weihnachten und viele Gluck in Neu Jahr!
