I took the six and half hour busride plunge last weekend and headed south to Sarande, said to be Albania’s top tourist destination. Also very popular with Albanians on their summer holiday. With the most beautiful beaches and water, the Ionian Sea definitely looks and feels great in this southern Albanian city. Greece’s Island of Korfu is just a half an hour boat ride away and hotels are a plenty in Sarande.
The beach at sunset - great to walk along this stretch.
Views from Butrint, an ancient Roman settlement, that Ray, Juliet, and Ryan visited during one of the days. A beautiful sea-fed lake surrounded the island that it was on. Gorgeous!
