Quality and communication skills

Things are a little hectic right now … they have been the whole time, but with language interviews coming up this weekend combined with the reality of packing up and moving to Berat puts me that “at a loss of words” state.
But, avash avash (slowly but surely), I will hopefully do justice to my recent and present experiences because they are and continue to be amazing. And I really want to document them in a quality way.
So please know that I’m doing my best to write about my life.
I want to share some information from a high school debate meeting I was at in Berat last week. My counterpart runs the team and she shared this information with her students. And while it’s probably not new to you, I loved watching them think about these points and discuss them.
Communication Skills:
1. Think before you speak.
2. Listen to what you say.
3. Learn to cut from the bottom - prioritize what you talk about.
4. Communicate positively.
5. Don’t waste your time on unwilling communicators.
6. Learn to admit your errors.
7. Ask good questions.
8. Don’t defend your point of view against every criticism.
9. Don’t raise your voice - use body language wisely.
10. Don’t try to enlighten unwilling people.
11. Talk to those closest to you - then move on to the “tough” ones.

Also, she wrote the following quote on the board:
“Speech is a mirror of the soul; as man speaks he is.” - Publilius Syrus
