Architecture around Berat

Berat is literally full of beautiful, residential architecture.
I’ll start with my host family’s home. It’s in the center of the city - I travel up a cobblestone street (as most of the streets in Berat are cobblestone … so, so cool) and arrive at this:

The entrance way into a common courtyard that leads to three separate homes. One happens to be my host mom’s cousin and her family.
Upon entering, I walk through this space:

And then I arrive at the front and only entrance to the house:

Grapevines, a great patio … my room is on the first level and as the two windos you see.
Here’s the foyer:

I love their home, as it’s filled with a great family and is full of time and history.
Moving on to more views around the city.
It took a lot of walking in and around and around and around the Mangelane neighborhood to happen upon this shot. I love the green against the white:
