What makes you feel alive?

My groupmates and I have a few recent experiences that answer this questions, including:
-eating freshly caught and fried fish out of the lake in our town. Health? No. Safe to eat? Probably not. Tasty? Yes. But having to work diligently to pick out bones and other unidentifiable objects in order to eat your lunch feels really great.
-walking through an open air market in the middle of Elbasan, smelling the smells (fresh fruit + fish + cheese), trompsing through the mud & garbage & around gaping holes while heavy rains pour down on you.
-diving into a freezing cold lake, surrounded by farm land. Unable to catch your breath, wondering if there are turtles or leeches enroute to your appendiges. Way to be adventurous, Evan and Brian! I personally forgot my swimmingsuit (conveniently enough) and sat on the shore as a cheerleader.

Sometimes it’s enough to observe others feeling alive - other times you must through yourself in and see what happens.
