I’ve been extremely lucky to babysit for a handfull of great families throughout my “after-graduation-until-my-PeaceCorps-departure” limbo time.
I can count on a fun projects like this one whenever I go into the Schmidt household, which happens to be just two doors down the street. Katie, age 8, is a fun and creative, an over all awesome girl.
Just call me Big Katie and you’ll fit right in.

We filled our time with baking three batches of lemon bars for her synchronized swimming meet.

Its Hawaiian theme prompted the lime green and festive colors … but the palm trees were all Katie’s idea.

Popsicle sticks, some PlayDough, construction paper and double sided tape did the trick.

The finished product was Marth Stewartesque …

Just another day for Big Katie and Little Katie.
