Caffeine and goodbyes, a few fish, and a little snow
Published by Katie February 23rd, 2006 in Eats
Yesterday, I headed up to CSB/SJU to visit four excellent people from my St. Joe/Collegeville past and one favorite cousin in St. Cloud.
The day started and ended with caffeine in various forms and was set up as a progressive schedule of seeing and saying goodbye to Norma in the library, Patty Allen at Meeting Grounds, Sister Rita in the Guest House, and Tom Connelly (plus Tim & fish) in Pat Hall.
But it wasn’t until Tom and I came upon Lake Sag that I whipped out my Olympus. The snow was already fifteen minutes falling and I’m happy to share these photos:
SJU Cemetary - one of my favorite places on campus, at any time of the year. A quiet, beautiful spot.

As you will see, Tom and Tim (SJU sophomores … Tom and I met last year by random chance) are raising a few sunnies in their dorm room.

The fish, named Tim and Tom, respectively, reside in a well kempt and filted tank.

Complete with a sucker fish and fresh minnors (blue waste basket) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner …

…these sunnies are said to provide endless entertainment to a good chunk of the CSB/SJU sophomore class.

Tim and Tom - thank you for introducing me to your aquatic wonder!
Lindsay Decker and I met a little after four in downtown St. Cloud. Oh, how I don’t miss the ridiculous city planning of that town. But seeing Lindsay was great!
I captured the St. Cloudian skyline on my way out of town:
